Freshman Year

In order to be considered for admission to the freshman year, the student must successfully complete the eighth grade and must present adequate academic credentials.

The usual means of application is through the Catholic High School Entrance Examination used by the Diocese of Rockville Centre. The test will be administered at all Catholic High Schools on October 25, 2008. Details of this program are available from Chaminade, various parochial schools, parishes or directly from the Catholic High School Administrators Office (516-739-5030).

Candidates for admission to the freshman year are notified of their status by mail at the end of January. For the school year 2010-2011, the notification date is January 14, 2010.

Sophomore, Junior and Senior Years

Chaminade does not normally accept transfer student after the freshman year. Any inquiry in this regard should be directed to the Chaminade Admissions Office.

Open House

Chaminade sponsors an Open House Program in order to allow prospective students and their families the opportunity to tour the school and to meet with members of the faculty and student body. The Open House Program will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. During this time, visitors may take a self-guided tour of our facilities as well as meet and chat with students, faculty administration and parents.
